ACAP Humber Arm became a partner of CURA H2O and began using WetPro in 2014.  Since that time we have trained approximately 60 people on proper maintenance and operation of the water quality testing equipment, and established three dozen permanent freshwater monitoring sites throughout western Newfoundland.  The online training modules and quality control protocols provide an assurance that the results are credible.  The standardization of training and operations has allowed us to leverage funding to launch and continue our extensive freshwater monitoring program, and the high confidence in the methodology permits government and other third parties to accept and utilize the data to inform better decisions.
